Seekers all over the world are finding answers to those pesky Law of Attraction questions:

Although the Law of Attraction is simple, getting it to work in your life is not always easy.  But it does work and it can work for you when you understand the subtle nuances and advanced principles that elude many.

"Finding your purpose in life is often one of the most difficult things we desire to do. What job is meant for you? How do you know what you really want to do in life?

After all the hard work studying, you’ve finally graduated from school. After all the hard work applying for a job, you’ve finally landed a job that pays you. And after all the hard work finding other jobs, you’ve finally landed a job that pays you well. Happy? Why not? Isn’t this what you really wanted to do all along? What seems to be missing? Why do you feel as though you’re starting from the very beginning? Worse, you feel you don’t even know where to start. For the first time in a long time you ask yourself, “What do I really want to do in life?”

I’ve asked myself the same questions, and of all the questions I’ve ever asked myself, this is one of the hardest indeed. But there is a way. And we must believe that all those who seek ernestly finds the answer that they seek.

Following are some of the things that helped me realize what it is that I really wanted to do, what it is that would make my life worthwhile and meaningful. "A solid belief system can take you a long way.  Success has its own belief system and when you can master such a system, there is very little that can stop the inevitable:  massive achievements.  Take a look at the seven beliefs that can take your success to greater heights:

Belief #1: Everything happens for a reason
I can guarantee you that all successful people believe that there is a purpose behind every event or situation.  Whether it’s a lesson to be learned or a change in your life’s path for example, they believe that whatever happens was meant to happen.  Thus, they make lemonade out of a lemon.  Instead of beating yourself down if something does not go your way, focus on the good that can come out of it.  Yes, certain events are indeed very difficult to see positive into them, but you owe it to yourself and to your success to try your absolute best to make the most out of any situation.  There are many people that lost a loved one to a disease, only to become advocates for research to cure such a disease, as well as many victims of accidents that have not let their shortcomings in the aftermath get in the way of whatever they wanted to accomplish.  Sometimes life does not go as planned, but knowing that everything happens for a reason can help you carve a new path towards a new life with new goals and new successes.

Belief #2: Failure does not exist
There are only learning experiences.  Once you submerge yourself into a culture that does not see failure, but only experiences and results, you take away an enormous chunk of negative energy out of your life.  For example, I come up with many different ideas for marketing and new courses.  Sometimes, these ideas do not provide the results I expected.  Instead of saying “I failed”, I tell myself “I guess I learned something.  I learned that this technique does not work.  I’ll try something else then”.  If you want to achieve highly successful outcomes, you need to alter your view of failures into something constructive that keeps you going until you get the results you desired…."

I can’t thank you enough for your patience and support during my mom’s health crisis.  She appears to be settling in nicely in to a new adult care facility and has "perked up" remarkably.

As the storm has begun to quiet and the dust has settled, I’ve had the opportunity to "honor my emotions" (those of you who work with me will know what a fanatic I am about this concept as a key to a healthy and fulfilling life), and sleeeeeeep.  Wow.  I’m usually a high activity sort of gal because I love life and there is so much I want to do.  But exhaustion is exhaustion and we must listened to what our bodies tell us. 

Well, I woke up this morning and I felt the excitement of possibility.  The possibility of reclaiming other parts of my life.  And so I was called to share with you thoughts and ideas that would inspire you as well.  I haven’t had time to do much writing, so instead, I’ve been researching Law of Attraction articles and this week will share 3 with you that were my favorites.  Enjoy!

This article is written by Louis R Burns, and NLP (Neuro Linguistic Program) expert.  In it he discusses how it is that we manifest exactly what we expect, whether we’re conscious of it or not.

"One of the things I consistently see people doing is presupposing problems.

We’re all trained by our educations to look for problems. Mistakes were the most frequent things pointed out in our work. Follow any weekend warrior sporting event and you’ll plenty of folks beating themselves up over the shot they missed.

The simplest presupposition there is, is existence. When you talk about something, there’s a presupposition that it must exist or else your statement won’t make sense. If I ask you if you saw the frogglewomp, you’ll rightly ask me what one is. You’d be assuming that there is such a thing until you had a chance to check it out (Google says there’s no such thing if you’re wondering).

When you’re communicating with people, there’s a strong tendency to talk about what we’re noticing, what we think the other person might be noticing or what we’d like them to notice. If we’re noticing problems and talking about problems, that’s what the other person will notice too.

The thing of it is that if you’re the one sending the message, the other person is usually going to go along with your presuppositions. If you say call me if you have any problems, the person is then going to be looking for problems. If you say call me with any success stories or other feedback, the other person will be more inclined to expect good things…"

Our tendency is to research, research, research and ask everyone we know what "they" think.  But what often happens is that we discover that each time we feel a little relief, thinking that we’ve finally found "the" answer, someone else chimes in with a completely different opinion. 

We ask ourselves in frustration, "Who is right?  Which one is the right answer?"

I write about this today, not only because I’ve fallen into this familiar trap of "looking outside myself for answers" but because it seems that many of my clients and friends are going through some form of chaos or upheaval.  I believe that times are "a-changin’" and they are changing fast.  I believe this is all very good news.  Our collective consciousness is expanding and growing, but as is often the case, growth can be painful and downright scary, as the old way of being falls away and dies, while the new way is still not here.

As I sat through what felt like my 20th consult in two weeks (whether by phone or in person), on my mother’s behalf, I felt the frustration erupting in my stomach again.  After having finally settled mom into a lovely adult care facility and got her admitted to hospice, a family doctor’s office manager started to tell me of her "issues" with hospice.  I, for one, was experiencing hospice to be nothing less than angels sent from above.  They were the ones who were finally helping my mom get the care she wasn’t getting elsewhere.  However, this office manager’s opinion triggered self-doubt and insecurity about how I was handling the situation.

"Everyone has an opinion!" I screamed in my head.  And then I remembered.  "Yes.  Everyone DOES have an opinion and no one is right or wrong.  It is simply their opinion based on their personal life experiences, beliefs and filters."

I was quickly reminded of a teaching from one of my first spiritual teachers.  It went something like this:  "When you don’t know your truth, take everyone’s opinions as "information" - no right, no wrong, just information.  And when the information you get starts to sound repetitive, know that you’ve collected just about all the perspectives there are.  Then turn within, and listen for YOUR truth.  Listen and trust what feels right.  The opinions and perspectives that FEEL right are simply reflecting back to you the knowing that was already inside you, but that you had trouble accessing on your own."

What does this have to do with the Law of Attraction?  Everything!  Everyone has an opinion.  And some of those opinions are espoused as truth… but they may still be just an opinion based on another person’s mind-set, upbringing, education, or personal experience.  Whether the opinion is coming from an internationally renowned economist about our country’s financial prognosis, a well-meaning friend, or the world’s best medical specialist addressing your diagnosis… YOUR truth and your ability to access HIGHER TRUTH (the highest, most abundant, most well-being-based consciousness) lies within.

When you find yourself reacting to outside conditions and opinions, remember to STOP, BREATHE, BE STILL, AND LISTEN.  The more you do this, the more you will connect with the perfect peace and infinite wisdom that is eternally available to you.

So, the Universe sent me this email from Hale Dwoskin of the Sedona Center.  And it is very aligned with what I’d hoped to offer you.

With today’s election, if you do nothing else, give yourself the opportunity to lovingly welcome and accept your fears and concerns.  Then say to yourself, "I’m willing to release these fears and allow the highest good, which is already present, to reveal itself to me, our country and our world, right now."

My life was been turned upside down as I’ve tried to navigate my way through this alien terrain as crisis caregiver, legal advocate, nurse, voice for a disabled senior, and overwhelmed daughter.  All of her needs became much bigger and louder than the needs of my children, my husband, my clients, my friends, my household and my own.  And yet, none of those other needs went away. 

In the past month, all I knew to do is let go of what I hoped could survive neglect, and trust in the patience of those that love me (including myself).  I did my best to assess what was the bare minimum the "others" needed — give that — and just TRUST that everything would be taken care of. 

I was spending money left and right, taking the most convenient path to meals and childcare.  (Budget?  What budget?  Emotional availability for my kids and hubby?  Too exhausted.  Laundry and a clean house for my brother and family?  Oh well…)  And yet, whenever I could, I poked my head above water and reminded myself and God, "I still have a life in this somewhere.  This won’t last forever, even if it feels like it will." 

Even when I felt consumed, I still gave what I could.  I still made my brain shut up, take the attention off of mom and really listened to my kids.  I’d take a breath, relax and ask hubby, "How was YOUR day?"  I’d put a load of laundry in the washer and declared, "Good enough."

Well… the blessing in all this chaos recently became obvious.  No matter how out of control I felt, Source was taking care of me.  Even when I was canceling clients’ appointments and lucrative business opportunities, the Universe kept sending me clients, unexpected money,  lots of book sales and collaborative opportunities.  I believe that my consistent commitment to tithing and circulating my bounty has allowed the flow to continue even when I went MIA.  Even when I wanted to crawl under the covers, I’d force myself to find ways to give (time or attention) and I trust in my heart that it is because of the giving, that I have been receiving so much, even in the toughest of times.

And so I offer you this same advice.  Whatever is happening in your life.  No matter how scary or out of control things may feel, keep looking for ways to give.  Give anything, no matter how small.  Give time.  Give money.  Give attention.  But just give.  It is in acknowledging that you have SOMETHING to give, that you will be blessed.  Like attracts like.  If you give what you have, the Universe gives to you the experience of HAVING!
