…I am a newbie to your site. But I think it is wonderful. I am terribly sorry for your trying ordeal. But it seems from this brief visit that you are handling it graciously. I commend you.
I am also a total believer in giving. I have designed my whole online presence around this topic. So I am very happy to see another share their insights on this topic.

Do you remember when you were young and finding a quarter or a dollar. The thrill, the excitement, the joy. Well Todd’s belief is that we still have these feelings inside of us. The whole premise of his website is based on the idea of hiding a dollar everyday. And while you are doing this be grateful. But specifically imagine the feelings that someone would have finding a dollar somewhere on their journey.
My 4 year old son still cracks up when we talk about hiding a loonie (Canadian dollar)behind the little door where you go to fill up the gas tank.
Imagine. You pull up to a gas station. You pop the door as you are reaching for the nozzle. You turn around to unscrew the cap. And there staring back at you is a greenback. You look around to see if you are on Candid Camera. But you have an enormous smile on your face as you fill up your car.
Now imagine that a 4 year old boy is still laughing his head off over this. I find that totally awesome.

Thanks for sharing. I LOVE THIS! I’ll definitely be checking out your site and Todd Silva’s. It reminds me of the times I’ve paid the toll for the stranger behind me at the toll booth. It is so much fun to look in my review mirror and then have the stranger pull up, smile and mouth the words “thank you!”

I think that we as a society are growing . People on this whole beautiful planet are starting to realize the benefits of giving. I don’t mean giving because you feel you have to like donations or alms at church. But I mean giving because it feel so GREAT.Give just because.
Look at Pay It Forward the movie and the foundation http://www.payitforwardfoundation.org .Juann Mann and his free hugs campaign at http://www.freehugscampaign.org . And the most fun and easiest way to give money like Todd Silva’s site at http://www.GiveAwayADollarADay.com .
I think we are realizing that we are all one. Just smaller parts of one big whole. And if we are all part of each other wouldn’t you like to give yourself a smile or compliment or a hug or some money? It is easy. Just do it. And in some way somehow you will receive it back in greater quantity.

Hi Sonia, this is very interesting. As far as I know, I don’t think we have it here in our Asian society. It has certainly given me some thought to encourage this with my family and friends.
