Law of Attraction Took Kit – #5 Practice for Soothing Panic

By Sonia Miller | March 5, 2009

My #5 Law of Attraction tool for soothing panic is…

Pull Out Your Feel Good List

Abraham-Hicks teaches us, “There is nothing more important than that you feel good.”

As a remedy for panic, it is vital that one approaches feeling good with deliberate intention.  Why?  Because like attracts like.  And so, when you feel panic, if you don’t intercept your thoughts and feelings, you’ll attract more thoughts and feelings that fuel panic.  Not only does this feel bad, but it works against you in your efforts to manifest abundance, fulfillment and well-being.

When you are thinking thoughts that make you feel bad, the feelings are meant to be your soul’s warning system.  It is as if your soul is tapping you on the shoulder saying, “Hey, Sonia, you’re thinking thoughts that are contrary to your higher knowing… you know… that all is well, that you are loved, that there is more than enough.  I’m going to make you feel bad, so that you’ll wake up, pay attention, and start thinking thoughts that are more in alignment with your higher knowing.  You’ll know you’re on the right track when I send you feelings that feel better, okay?”

By steadily redirecting your thoughts towards ones that make you feel better, the panic subsides and you become that much more magnetic to all thoughts, feelings, and external events that make you feel good.  When you feel good, you attract more and more of that which makes you feel good.

But here’s, the thing… When you feel bad, your vibration is low.  You’re thinking thoughts and feeling feelings that feel bad.  And so, for the moment, you are more magnetic to that which makes you feel bad.  So, it can be difficult to connect with feel-good vibrations.

Here’s where your feel good list comes in.  Think of this assignment as preventive medicine.  Some time when you’re feeling particularly good, (or even if you’re not, but you want to be proactive) get out paper and pen, or computer, and make a list of EVERYTHING that feels good.  Everything.  People, memories, sensory experiences, statements of higher truth.  Make the list exhaustive.  Then post somewhere where it will always be easily accessible.  The fridge, your bathroom mirror, your screen saver…

And the next time you feel bad, whether it is panic settling in or some other challenging emotion, first say “YES” to the panic or difficult emotion.  The last thing you want to do is resist it, because, as they say, what you resist, persists.  Say to yourself, “Yes, I’m panicking.  I’m scared.  I’m freaking out.  And that is okay.  That is my soul talking to me AND, I’m ready to find thoughts and emotions that feel better.”

Next, pull out the list and start reading through it.  Don’t just go through the motions of reading; as if you were reading the ingredients on a soup box.  Read your list as if you were reading  your favorite story.  Let each item on the list pull you into the sensory imagery of the thought.  Pause at each item long enough to connect with it and how it makes you feel.  If some items on the list aren’t helping you to feel better, then move on to the next.  This is why making the list exhaustive is important, because some thoughts help you feel better in SOME situations.  Soon, within minutes, if your list is truly exhaustive you should start to feel better.  Let the better feeling thoughts lead you into other better feeling thoughts, whether it is “list related” or connected to the original source of your panic.  Your feelings of panic are all about perspective and perception.  Your goal is to adjust both.

The more you feel better, the more Source is flowing through you, allowing more inspiration, guidance, well-being and abundance into your life.

What’s MY feel-good list look like?

I’ll share some of them with you in the hope that you’ll be inspired to actually GET YOUR LIST DONE!

Sonia’s feel good list:

~The feeling of pressing my face up against my children’s cheeks.

~Being hugged and held by my husband.

~Hearing from a client that they feel better, had a break-through, an aha moment, a success.

~YouTube/Fred! 30 Rock, The Office, SNL, anything that makes me laugh!

~Watching my sales numbers from my book increase all over the world.

~Feeling and hearing myself laugh out loud.

~When I deeply connected to the truth that nothing in the physical world has any power over me.

~When I’m deeply connected to the truth that the well-being of Source expresses in, as and through me all the time.

~When I’m still and relax into peace.

…And the list goes on!

Care to share some of your feel-good items?  I’d LOVE to hear about what raises YOUR vibration?

Sonia, you blog really well. I read one book by Louisy Hay. It stated that if you feel bad, never hide it or back it in your mind, because such things cause inner imbalance. Instead, go to a quiet room, and say and do all it takes to get out of that situation. you can even release your anger.
