Prosperity is a state of mind. It is the manifestation of your thoughts, words and actions. Prosperity is not determined outside you – through a paycheck, a lottery win, or your bank account balance. Instead it is determined by an internal awareness. And, the reality is that if you weren’t born into a prosperity consciousness, this mind-set is something that you must cultivate.
As children we absorb the energy of our environments. The messages we receive, consciously and unconsciously, about money, self-worth and success, create a ”default setting” of sorts, for what we will allow ourselves to have. Left unchallenged, your default setting will dictate the prosperity you will and will not let yourself experience. The good news is that your default setting can be changed for the better, if you are willing to do the work.
I’ve been studying prosperity for many years now. By intentionally adjusting my mind-set, I’ve been able to dismantle limiting beliefs and allow more and more prosperity into my life. Just a few examples of the abundance I’ve allowed to flow into my life include:

- I left a spiritually void, but high paying job as a stock and bond trader to create meaningful and lucrative work.
- Our family expanded from life in suburbia to a 200 acre country life producing award-winning wines and raising alpacas.
- Success for the Soul almost doubled in revenues last year.
I share all of this with you to convey that although my default setting made it easy for me to dream big and work hard, it was effective life-coaching and a whole new perspective that allowed me to integrate the mind-set that would move me beyond an extreme case of scarcity thinking and self-sabotage.
