My Law of Attraction Tool Kit – Practice #1 for Soothing Panic

By Sonia Miller | December 12, 2008

Well, I’m back.  Having successfully launched my audio subscription program: " How to Harness the Power of the Law of Attraction by Getting Out of Your Own Way," I’m ready to get back to my Law of Attraction Tool Kit (see the December 3rd post).

My #1 Law of Attraction tool for soothing panic is…

STAYING IN THE NOW

Now then before I jump into the details of this concept let me just say a word about getting the LOA tool kit to work for you.  That word is DISCIPLINE.

Discipline. Discipline. Discipline.

The level of comfort and power that you get from the tool kit will be in direct correlation to the level of commitment and discipline that you exercise.  If you simply dabble in the six techniques, you might get some occasional relief, but you may also miss the powerful and transformational opportunity to really make lemons out of lemonades (metaphysically speaking).  If, however, you use the tool kit with steadfast commitment, not only will your panic be soothed, but you will be guided out of whatever storm is present into greater possibilities than you could ever imagine.

You always have a choice about how you react to the conditions of your life.  However, when life gets particularly scary.  When things happen that activate sheer panic and distress there is a lot more at stake with your choice.  If you let your fears and limiting beliefs get the best of you, they’ll get the best of you and you will indeed manifest your worst fears and most limiting beliefs.

If,  however, you remember that RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, IN YOUR SITUATION, SOURCE ENERGY IS EXPRESSING ITS INFINITE WELL-BEING AND ABUNDANCE,;and you exercise your CHOICE to nurture and cultivate thoughts and emotions in alignment with THIS truth; then ultimately you will be guided past the seeming ‘bad’ conditions of your life to EXPERIENCE this highest truth in a very personal way.

All this being said, let’s talk about STAYING IN THE NOW.

As a recap:

Less than a week ago we got word of a big, sudden change in our financial situation.  As is the case for many people, this is certainly not the first time this has happened to me or my husband and it certainly won’t be the last.  But the good news is that I’ve learned a thing or two, and react very differently today than I would have in the past.

A very common reaction to this kind of event is to begin fretting about the future.  The mind goes into overdrive trying to anticipate where the money will come from, how we will pay our bills, what’s going to happen.

This is both highly stressful and only serves to create more of what you don’t want.  Because in all of this future fantasizing, you are actually, very powerfully emitting a vibration of lack, scarcity, fear and limitation.  And given that like attracts like… if you do this long enough you’ll attract your very worst fears.

In response to this, what I do is this:  every time my mind "goes there," I simply STOP, BREATHE, AND COME BACK TO THE PRESENT MOMENT.

Then I practice a little self talk REMINDING MYSELF of the following truths.

RIGHT NOW, I’m fine.

Right now, all is well.

Right now, we have money. We have food. We have shelter. I have productive work. I have friends. I have family. I have support.  We are all healthy…

You get the picture… on and on, reminding myself that RIGHT NOW ALL IS TRULY WELL.

Why is this so powerful and important.  Several reasons.

#1  – You’ll feel better because you are focusing on the positive truth, rather than a fabricated "non-reality".

#2 – In focusing on the positive truth of all that is in your life, you emit the vibration of "I have a good and positive life," attracting more of THAT in your experience.

#3 – The only "place" to experience Source is in the NOW.  You can’t connect with Source in the future.  The future is always in the future.  It is never here.  Same with the past.  But right here, right now, is SOURCE.  And Source is infinite well-being and abundance.  Each time you come into the NOW, you are communing with the energy of ALL THAT IS.  Each time you come into the NOW,  you step INTO the space of ALL THAT IS…

Really take this in:

ALL.

ALL.

INFINITE.

ALLNESS.

By doing that you open yourself up to ALL that is available to you.

…so… you can finish off your session of reminding yourself of all that is right NOW in the following manner:

STOP.  BREATHE.  COME INTO THE NOW:

Then self-talk:

"Yes, that income stream is gone and I don’t know what will happen, BUT… RIGHT NOW ALL IS WELL.  I’m alive. I’m breathing.  I have a happy healthy family.  My mother is taken care of.  We have food in the fridge.  Money in the bank.  Shelter over our heads.  Friends and family that love us.  A car.  Fulfilling work…. AND I’m willing to perceive and experience the perfect unfolding of the highest good right now.

…OR I’m willing to experience the perfect solution to our financial situation.

…OR I’m willing to (whatever you need to allow into your life – fill in the blank).

DISCIPLINE.

KEEP COMING BACK TO THE NOW.

THE REST WILL FOLLOW!

Choose Your  Reality! tm

Hi, thanks for posting this. I am currently applying the “law of attraction” in my life. This is truly helpful.

I first learned about being in the NOW in the mid 90′s. I read about it from a great little book by Ken Roberts called A RICH MAN’S SECRET. Ever since I read this book I new that it was right for me. However I sometimes let life get in the way and forget to practice returning to now.

But one thing in my life is constant. I keep learning new ways to return to NOW. And I finally feel like I am living in the NOW at least 25% of my time. Ho’oponopono really helps me with this by keep repeating mentally I Love You. Thank You.

I look forward to the day that I live from inspiration and connected to Source continually. By always being in the NOW.

We also just received news of an impending change in our financial situation and I talked my husband through the same thing. Right now we’re fine. We have a place to live with utilities and food that we don’t have to pay for for another year if choose to stay in this current situation. This gives us both a comfortable window in which to seek other means of income, etc. It could be much worse and in fact is just fine!

    Hi Irish,

Glad the post was helpful. This practice alone always stops my over-active mind right in its tracks and lowers my heart rate.

    Namaste,
    Sonia : )

    David,

25% of the time? That’s great! Wouldn’t it be great to create some kind of a meter that gives us a little “gooses” us when our minds go into overdrive… just to remind us to come into the now.

Thanks for the reminder about Ho’oponopono. I’m familiar with it, but haven’t had the opportunity to really study it yet.

    Blessings,
    Sonia

My comment is really a question. I turned fifty yesterday and I love being at this age. I’ve been married to my soul opposite for thirty years. We have three grown children, two of which still live with us. I have practiced and read about the law of attraction for years and my spirit grows and grows but I have a big problem with keeping my vibration high since my husband is home all the time. We got along ok when I saw him less and I could do what I wanted without his constant opinion being thrown in my face. He is extreemly stingy and some of his statements hurt my ears like “we don’t have money to give away!” He is driving me crazy and I think the Universe is sending me a message to get out of this relationship. Do you think every marrage has hope even though he either has me angry, sad or annoyed. Help!
