This post is part of a Law of Attraction Series about the 4 Law of Attraction Distractions. For an overview click here.
Law of Attraction – Distraction #1 – Your Ego
Your ego can be a really fun part of who you are. It’s the part of you that sets you apart from others. The part of you that wants to be unique, separate, original and in charge. That wants to shine, be right, get credit and be acknowledged. It gets you moving, motivates you into action and helps launch your desires. When these qualities are in service to your soul’s higher guidance, your ego serves you. Essentially, your ego is working in partnership with your soul. However, if your ego if flying solo and has taken charge of your life, these same attributes can cause you longing, suffering and the general malaise of not enough-ness. In order to manage your ego when it’s taking over, and things are not feeling or going so well, you must: a) recognize your ego when it’s showing up (this is the job of your inner witness), b) accept it, and c) encourage your ego to step aside and allow your soul take over the reigns of your life – at least for a while.
Stay tuned for more on The Ego.
